美國在2010年發布了《各州共同核心標準》,廣為全美各地所採用。本文將簡介美國「各州英語文與歷史/社會、科學與科技共同核心標準」閱讀部分之基本架構及精神,並將依閱讀理論與研究進行評析,分別列出這套共同核心標準的特色,包含「研究證據導向」、「強調深度閱讀與訊息整合」、「重視文本複雜度」、「平衡不同類別之文本」及「採用閱讀理解策略」等。最後,根據閱讀共同核心課程,提出閱讀教學、文本選擇及教師專業發展建議。

英文摘要

The Common Core State Standards were released in 2010 and now adopted by most states in America. This article intended to introduce the framework and key concepts of the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts: Reading and reviewed these standards from the perspectives of reading theories and research evidences. Several features of these standards were listed, including “research and evidenced approach,” close reading and information integration,” “text complexity,” “balance of different genres,” and “reading comprehension strategies.” The implications of these standards for reading instruction, text selection, and teacher professional development were discussed.
