中文摘要

船舶為航商經營之主要投入資源,其配置之良窳攸關公司之經營效率。本研究利用 資料包絡分析(Data Envelopment Analysis, DEA)之CCR 與BCC 模式,探討2008 年世 界前二十一大貨櫃定期航商之船噸投入相對績效。文中針對船噸投入之投入報酬效率做 為主要探討方向,以航商營運船舶數量和總艙位供給為投入變數,產出變數則設定為航 商之營運獲利。同時從投入報酬之價值鍊節中,延伸定義船隊部署、貨物承攬、業務競 爭三個連續的環節,進行各自之績效分析,以深入探求航商間之表現差異。研究結果發 現COSCO 在整體效率與純技術效率上均優於其他航商,其次為MOL 和CSAV。透過 所有航商之效率值,本研究亦發現貨櫃船舶大型化還未對航商之船噸投入效率帶來顯著 的相對優勢,但參與策略聯盟之航商則在船隊部署之整體效率上已表現出顯著的相對優 勢。

英文摘要

Ships are major input resources that their allocation concerns with the operation efficiency of shipping companies very much. This study applied CCR and BCC models of the data envelopment analysis (DEA) to assess the comparative input performance of ship tonnages for top twenty-one container shipping lines at 2008. The principle focus was put on the investment return performance which inputs were the number of ships and total supply slots and outputs were the turnover and operating profits. Moreover, three phases defined from the value chain of ship tonnage contribution, called fleet deployment, cargo forwarding and business competition, were further evaluated together. The analysis results were found that COSCO revealed well than others on both total and pure technical efficiencies. The followers include MOL and CSAV. The tendency of containership size enlargement has not brought any significant advantage on the input efficiency of ship tonnages. However, shipping lines, which have participated strategic alliances, revealed significantly relative advantage than others on the total efficiency of fleet deployment.
