本研究運用質性研究方式,瞭解幼兒才藝選擇的家長決策模式與父母觀點上的差異。資料蒐 集方式採取半結構式訪談,共計13 個學習才藝的幼兒家庭家長接受訪談。研究發現,幼兒才藝 選擇的決策模式有家務分工及家庭和諧兩種,前者指的是決定權與家庭事務的分工有關,後者指 的是只要父母有任何一方不同意幼兒學才藝,就選擇不學;家長觀點方面,父親對於幼兒學習才 藝的觀點較偏浪漫取向,母親則偏實際取向。

英文摘要

This was a qualitative research aiming at understanding the parental decision-making styles and the parental perspectives on making talent education choices for their young children. Semi-structured interview was employed as the mean of data collecting. Parents from 13 families were interviewed. The research found that there were two decision-making styles on making talent education choices for young children: one was domestic division of labor; the other was family harmony. The former meaned that the choice-making was related to domestic division of labor; the latter referred to parental agreement or disagreement. The result of disagreement was not having children attending any talent class and vice versa. As for parental perspectives, the finding indicated that fathers tend to be romantic-oriented and mothers tend to be practical-oriented.
