多友鼎為西周晚期的青銅器，其鼎的形制與花紋為三足、立耳，半球形腹，器腹較深，蹄形足素面無紋，裝飾花紋簡單，僅口下飾弦紋兩道，器內壁有銘文兩百七十餘字，其形制與字體都大致符合西周晚期青銅器的風格，是因多友對抗玁狁有功而賞賜的鼎。本文欲從形制、花紋、銘文等方面，來進行全面恆的討論。

「 Duo You Ding. A Tripod 」 , the late period of the Western Zhou dynasty bronze wares. Shape and pattern of its tripod of three legs, erect ears, domed belly, the device abdominal deep. The decorative pattern is simple. Insidel it was inscribed with more than two hundred 70 characters,which were regarded as important material for researching the war history of the Western Zhou Dynasty and the relationship between the Zhou people and Yan Yun.
