尹佚即史佚，他輔佐周武王、成王，以善「立言」著稱。他的諸多思想言論，對墨家的「節用」說、「民選天子諸官」說、「節葬節喪」說以及「言必信，行必果」思想作風的形成等，產生過重大影響。
