本研究之目的在探討年齡、性別因素對於臉部表情辨識與情緒強度知覺的影響，以及亞斯伯格症患者的臨床表現。位一般參與者以及位亞斯伯格症患者接受「臉部情緒判斷評量表」不同臉部表情照片之呈現，並判斷表情的情緒種類與情緒強度。兒童在憤怒、悲傷、厭惡、恐懼，青少年在悲傷，老年人在驚訝、厭惡、恐懼等表情的辨識上比成人差。女性在快樂、悲傷、驚訝、厭惡、恐懼等表情的辨識較男性為優。在情緒強度知覺方面並無性別效應，兒童對快樂表情照片的情緒知覺較強烈，對悲傷表情照片則較弱，而老年人則對憤怒表情照片的情緒知覺較強。亞斯伯格症患者在表情辨識的表現上較差，尤其是對於驚訝表情之辨識。隨著年齡的增長，對於表情辨識的精確性增加，但成年後也隨著年紀的老化而降低。在性別效應方面，女性對於表情的辨識比男性好，但在情緒強度知覺方面則無明顯不同。同時，本研究也以亞斯伯格症患者的表現來支持「臉部情緒判斷評量表」的臨床運用。

The purpose of this study was to determine the ef fects of age and gender on the recognition of facial expressions of emotion and the perception of emotional intensity. in an effort to better understand the performance of patients with Aspeiger's disorder (AD).
