對民企業組織而言,技術及市場的快 速變遺,促使企業組輯尋求在隨時變化與 創新的環境中,保有企業優勢、擴張市場 版圖的方法。以往企業組織的創新想法來 自公司內部,從技術研發、產晶製造、推 入市場整個流程都由單一公司完成,採用 的是封閉式創新,但當所面臨的環境是教 育興高學歷的普及、知輯工作者的高流動 性、創投產業興起、全球化競爭等變動 時,以單一公司的力量進行研盤、上市等 工作,已不符合市場需求,透過與其他公 司的合作,或利用公司內部創業的機會, 獲得各方資訊及劃新的想法以發展創新策 略,對快速變動的環境做出反暉,贏得市 場先機。開放式創新可以採用聯盟、授 權、內部創業等方式進行,國內、外都有 探用開放式創新而成功的案例,例如, mM 採用專利授權、建立研究聯盟等;P& G 推動開放創新平台,尋找合適的創新想 法; Google 透過授權與併睛開發新服務與 商晶i Lucent Technologies 刺用內部創業及聯 盟,促使技術快遠提升:生技製藥產業透 過聯盟,共同研發新黨晶、臨床實驗及上市:國內的公司如台積電、宏驀、統一起商都探用了開放創新策略,成為產業界的領導者。企業組輯善用外在環境及探用多樣化的開放式創新,能夠獲取更高的經濟報酬,也因此有更多的資海投入下一次的研發創新。

英文摘要

The rapid change of technology and market influences the operation of corporations; they start to seek ways to keep their competitive advantage and how to enlarge their market share. In the past, innovation ideas came from the inner of corporation, from R & D, manufacturing to marketing all operated by single company. This is closed innovation. However, when corporations face severely changing environment, such as higher education level of workers, higher mobility of knowledge workers, emerging of venture capital and global competition, corporations need to cooperate with other companies and encourage internal entrepreneur to develop innovation strategy, so they could react to the environment as soon as possible. This is open innovation. Corporations could adopt alliances, licensing agreement or internal venture capital to execute open innovation, there are several successful cases. IBM licensed out their patents, established research alliances. P&G promoted open innovation platform, which provides suitable innovation ideas; Google licensed their technologies and executed merger tactics to explore new services and products. Lucent technologies use internal venture group and alliances to stimulate technology development. Biotech and pharmaceutical corporations set up alliances to co-develop new drugs, clinical tests and put the drugs into market. Domestic corporations, such as TSMC, Acer Corp., President Corp. all adopt open innovation strategies, Only when corporations adapt to external environment and start to launch open innovation, can they earn higher economic return; therefore, corporations will have more resources to put into next R & D process.
