設計的表現形式有諸多的面向與意涵,在兩種材料之間的搭配上,必然有其特定的設計意識與材料特性相關,而本研究由材料特性作為切入,並選定雙材料所共構的設計作品進行探討。材料共構的表現從外到內可分為「組成關係」、「物性作用」與「設計意識」三層次為探討主軸,以解析其發展面向,做為材料表現的理解基礎。在研究結果上,材料間的外在「組成關係」為「並置型態」者,其物性表現面向較多,其中包含無物性作用的外觀訴求;材料間的組成關係為「複合型態」者,其物性表現以互補行為為主,多為機能功用的訴求,這類型材料在巧妙的設計運用下,常出現新奇極端的設計形式;而組成關係為「織理型態」者,其物性表現橫跨累加行為、互補行為與制衡關係,而織理的材料與材料間的組成也產生了接合關係,不像並置型態只是放在一起,亦不像複合型態的混合、層疊或包覆,值得作為後續構造與形式上的探討。

英文摘要

The material performance possesses numerous properties and intentions in practical design, this research engaged in the study of material which is in combination with another material. The composition of the two materials forms the works that involves with the contrast in appearance, synergism in physical effect and the structure dealing with statics, etc. The whole views are integrated into the work and emerged from the external appearance, the signs of design consciousness are in evidence.Based on the spirit of composition of the two materials, three important issues among “Relationship of composition”, “Physical effects” and “Design consciousness” were investigated. So there are three gradation from external appearance to internal consciousness. This research conclude this analysis of composition of material performance by finding:1.the “collocation type” is the first property of “Relationship of composition” which has multi-tendencies towards synergism, counterbalance, accumulation or mere appearance. 2.the “composite type” is the second property of “Relationship of composition” which has a tendency towards synergism as functionality and causing the excellent performance in design. 3. the “textile type” is the third property of “Relationship of composition” which has three tendencies towards synergism, counterbalance and accumulation effect. As a result, the relationship between components on “textile type” will inspire the innovation for connection program, and beyond “collocation type” and “composite type”.
