背景及目的：探討澎湖地區事故傷害之肇因分析，分析各變項與台灣本島比較之差異，期能進一步根據此一研究結論，預防事故傷害發生。方法：以民國99年台灣地區健保資料庫中「住院醫療費用清單明細檔」加上「醫事機構基本資料檔」，根據ICD-9-CM之外因分類或住院診斷，篩選該年份澎湖地區住院病患變項如性別、年齡、收入、住院天數、醫療費用等加以分析。結果：民國99年澎湖地區因事故傷害住院之病患，15至45歲的族群以男性為主，65歲以上病患則以女性為主。其中，住院天數並沒有統計上之顯著差異。醫療費用整體而言兩組亦無差別，僅於病房費、膳食費、治療費等數個細項有性別差異。與台灣整體族群不同的是，澎湖地區大於65歲以上女性因事故傷害住院最常見的原因為跌倒墜落，並且住院診斷的ICD-9-CM編碼大多包含骨折相關類別。結論：針對不同性別民眾事故傷害住院之差異分析結果，了解其生活作息型態或居家生活環境，制訂相關公共衛生政策，期望能降低澎湖地區高齡婦女跌倒發生率，進而避免後續住院衍生之相關社會經濟問題。

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to figure out the characteristics of accident injury in Peng-Hu area in 2010 and provided suggestion in public health policy if accessible. Methods: This study and the related Data were based on National Health Insurance Research Database, 2010. We classified the E-code according to the ICD-9-CM coding system and used SPSS 19th version for related variables analysis such as gender, income, season, and costs. Results: Upon all of the hospitalization in Peng-Hu area, the prevalence of accident injury is much higher in male gender between 15-45 years old. On the other hand, as for old-aged female population, the prevalence of accident injury overwhelms those people in male population, which is different from the national-wide population, contributing to admission due to bone fracture. The hospitalization period and costs has no statistical difference in our study. Conclusions: The main cause of the hospitalization reasons in elder women (Age > 65) is falling down injury in Peng-Hu area, and contributed to significant higher risk of bone fracture. Public health policy shall be designed for this population to prevent falling down during daily activity.
