Open access literature is digital, online, free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. New business models for open access literature publishing, such as Bi-oMed Central, are needed to ensure publishing continuity. A huge change in publishing scientific research is a business model in which contributors are charged for publishing their papers and readers get free access to their papers.
