大英圖書館電子館藏發展的基礎，除了訂定館藏發展政策外，並推動有關電子館藏建置的多項徵集計畫，借鏡大英圖書館的發展經驗，本文介紹該館館藏發展策略及其推動電子館藏建置的相關計晝或政策，包括：電子出版品法定 送存工作計晝、網站資源徵集政策、館藏數位化計晝及其數位保存政策，最終综合分析擬具結論，期許提供我國國家圖書館電子館藏發展規劃的參考。

The development of the electronic resources collection in the British Library is founded on its collection development policy and electronic resources acquisition plans. In this paper, the electronic collection development plans of the British Library are taken as examples to explain their state-of-the-art programs, including voluntary deposit of non-print publications, web archiving, collection digitisation, and digital preservation policy. From the study, conclusions are proposed as reference for National Central Library in Taiwan.
