本文基於在宿主Cocculusorbiculatus 之型態特徵與內部轉錄區間隔 (ITS1-5.8S-ITS2) 之rRNA 基因序列的分析， 發表臺灣Erysiphe pseudolonicerae 第一次的有性世代。文中亦討論此菌的有性世代與無性世代的發現。

The powdery mildew on Cocculus species, E. pseudolonicerae, has in Taiwan hitherto only been known as anamorph for more than fifty years. A specimen on Cocculusorbiculatus collected during the cold season in northern Taiwan revealed fully developed ascomata. The anamorph and teleomorph stages are described in detail. The identification was confirmed with ITS rDNA sequence data. The species could be reliably identified based on morphology and host identification, whereas using ITS data alone can lead to wrong conclusions. The delayed discovery of the teleomorph is rather based on poor field collection of Erysiphales in Taiwan compared to other countries than on climate change or gradual introduction of different mating types.
