For a command system operating efficiently, it is important to assure the functionalities of information, decision and communication work well in the command system. In the future, battlefield would be digitalized and military would enter an e-era. The operation performance of Military Information Network (MINET) would impact the total operation performance of national defense affairs. Therefore, it is an important issue for R.O.C. military to use MINET resources and bandwidth efficiently in the future. This study tries to focus on R. O. C. logistic affairs information traffic over the MINET. A differentiated service classification scheme is proposed. The proposed differentiated service classification scheme would base on the features of different logistic affairs information traffic to assign them corresponding packet transmission priorities. Moreover, in this study, an ns2 simulator is implemented to simulate the IETF DiffServ scheme operations over the MINET. According to a packet transmission priority of logistic affairs information traffic, the corresponding bandwidth would be assigned by the IETF DiffServ scheme. Usually, a logistic network application with highest packet transmission priority would receive the best packet transmission performance; and a logistic network application with lowest packet transmission priority would receive the worst packet transmission performance. With the proposed differentiated service classification scheme and the IETF DiffServ scheme, a differentiated service behavior would be supported among different logistic affairs information traffic to en-hance the total operation performance of R.O.C. military logistic affairs.
