本研究以三島由紀夫的《潮騷》及其6 冊中文譯本為研究對象，探討不同譯者的 翻譯策略與其翻譯風格。本文透過兩個指標來探討譯者的語言選擇的差異，第一 個指標為原文作者的個性表達與文學藝術性的展現――譯者如何詮釋原文中明喻 的使用，第二指標為目標語本身的慣用表達――譯文中的中文特有四字詞的使用 頻率與分布。本論文採取質量並重的研究手法，運用語料庫資源與量化證據，舉 證不同譯本的翻譯風格的差異，藉此提供詮釋譯者個人之翻譯風格的研究方法以 及解釋翻譯策略與翻譯風格的衡量觀點，最後透過譯者本身對於文化中介者的角 色認知等翻譯態度的探討，檢證翻譯風格的成因。本研究結果顯示，原文作者的 明喻表達與中文特有四字詞使用可以做為區辨出譯者的翻譯策略與語體風格之指 標，並反映譯者語體風格與翻譯策略背後所展現出的個人翻譯觀。

This thesis examines six different Chinese translations of Shiosai, a novel by Yukio Mishima. It aims to study the translation styles and translation strategies employed by the different translators. This paper uses two main criteria in analyzing the linguistic choices in the translated texts. The first one is based on Yukio Mishima’s individual descriptive style and his methods of literary/artistic expression, with a focus on how the translator interprets the use of similes in the original work. The second one is based on the use of 4- character-expressions in the target language, and how the 4-character-expressions unique to the Chinese language are employed and distributed throughout the translation. This thesis employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods, making use of a parallel corpus in order to provide concrete examples for the analysis of the differences between the translation styles. In the end, there is a discussion as to the translators’ understanding of their roles as cultural mediators and their attitudes towards translation, and these elements are used to examine the reasons that cause the translators’ differing styles. The results of the current study demonstrate that the two criteria used are effective tools for examining translation styles and strategies. They also serve to reflect the translators’ individual attitudes towards translation, which lie behind their own linguistic styles and choice of translation strategies.
