起自十八世紀末的工業革命不僅徹底影響了戰略的内涵，同時也讓所謂 大戰略逐漸形成一個新的討論範疇。儘管如此，針對大戰略的討論至少應先 釐清相干概念的定義、範圍與内涵等等問題；特別由於自1990年代末起， 有關中國「大戰略」的討論也逐漸在海内外引起相當程度的迴響，在本文中 我們便試圖就最近十年來學界的討論過程，從理論與實際的結合著手，設法 去觀察並瞭解相關議題的未來發展。

The Industrial Revolution since the late eighteenth century has not only influenced the immanence of strategy, but offered a new realm for discussing the so-called grand strategy, including its definition, range, and content.
