physical education at the University of Melbourne. Following the Second World War he completed physical education and physiotherapy. Robinson indicated that the excellent education he received through the University and the Victorian Registration Board ensured that Victorian graduates were welcomed worldwide. As evidence of this recognition he indicated he had spent over 20 years consulting to the United Nations (UN) establishing physiotherapy programs. With conversations and materials gathered over the next decade I learned about a physiotherapist who had led an extraordinary life, yet very few people outside his family know his story. This paper describes part of Basil Robinson’s life with a particular emphasis on Taiwan.
