有愈來愈多的公司想透過找尋資料倉儲的解決方案來獲得商業上的利益,因此, 建立一個決策辅助的方法來幫助企業選擇一個適當的資料倉儲系統是有需要的。資料 倉儲系統從不同的資料來源將資料進行整合,儲存大量的歷史資料,並且提供管理階 層一個容易存取查詢資料的介面。而這些特性使得評選資料倉儲系統的準則與傳統的交易處理系統是有差異的。本研究提出一個基於分析層級程序法的決策程序來幫助資 料倉儲系統的評選過程,此方法同時考慮有形及無形的評選準則。此程序能夠系統化 的建立評選資料倉儲系統的目標以滿足組織的商業目的及需求,並且確認適當的評選 準則。一個實際的個案研究用來驗證此方法的有效性。

英文摘要

The increase in companies seeking data warehousing solutions to gain significant business advantage has created a need for a systematic approach in choosing an appropriate data warehouse system. Such systems have the capabilities of integrating data from various sources, holding a large amount of historical data, and serving primarily the managerial community with easy to access query interfaces. These unique characteristics make the selection criteria for data warehouses very different from those of ordinary transaction processing systems. This study proposed an AHP-based decision-making procedure, to facilitate data warehouse systems selection, with consideration given to both technical and managerial criteria. The procedure can systematically construct the objectives of data warehouse systems selection to support the business goals and requirements of an organization, and identify appropriate criteria for evaluation. A case study in Taiwan was conducted to illustrate this method's effectiveness.
