本研究以公共電視「我們的島」節目為探討案例，透過內容分析法檢視該節 目從1999 至2004 年止六年來環境議題的時空分布特性。結果顯示，「我們的島」 在環境議題取向上可分為四大類，包括污染、保育、天災及其它類等，其中以保 育類報導為最多，污染類及天災類次之。若從時間序列觀之，保育類維持著平穩 的報導比例，但污染類及天災類的報導比例則隨著年度的不同而呈現出劇烈變 化。在報導地點方面，「我們的島」對臺灣北部關注最多，尤其是以臺北為最高。 此外，污染類報導集中在臺北及高雄，此與都會區較容易發生公害污染事件有 關；保育類報導以臺北及屏東較多，此與節目地緣便利及消息來源有關；至於天 災類報導則集中在南投及臺北，此乃由於該區遭受地震及颱風重創所致。

The content analysis method was applied to understand the temporal and spatial characteristics of environmental issues in this program during the period from 1999 to 2004. The program of “Our Island” in the Public Television Service was selected as a case study in this research. Results showed that these environmental issues in this program could be classified into four categories, including pollution, conservation, natural hazard and others. The conservation category was the most popular, followed by the pollution and natural hazard categories. On the basis of the temporal sequence, the proportion of conservation category was stable annually; however, the proportions of pollution and natural hazard categories varied dramatically in different years. Considering the reported location, this program paid more attention in northern Taiwan, especially in Taipei. Moreover, reports of pollution category were obviously concentrated in Taipei and Kaohsiung, because the public health problems and pollution events often occurred in both metropolitan areas. In addition, reports of the conservation category were dominantly focused in Taipei and Pingtung due to the fundamental reasons, programming convenience and information sources. Finally, reports of the natural hazard category were mainly located in Nantou and Taipei, where an earthquake and typhoons had caused serious damages.
