本研究主要係針對埔里鎮垃圾資源回收成效進行探討。根據本研究結果顯示埔里鎮於103年12月進行郊區平日、郊區假日、市區平日與市區假日一般垃圾車之平均整體誤投比例分別為8.57% 、8.28%、9.27%與15%，其最高誤投率前三項依序皆為廚餘類、其他塑膠類、其他類。而郊區平日、郊區假日、市區平日與市區假日資源回收車之平均整體誤投比例為3.30% 、7.84%、6.59%與8%，其誤投種類皆以非資源回收物（紙類）-髒報紙及非資源回收物（非紙類）-竹筷為最高，另資源回收車中資源回收物種類佔最多為玻璃類，其次為紙類、鐵罐等。 綜合而言，埔里鎮垃圾誤投比例不高，整體垃圾分類回收成效佳，另埔里鎮市區及郊區平日與假日，其一般垃圾車誤投率皆高於資源垃圾車，而一般垃圾車中誤投比例最高種類為廚餘類，主要為果皮廚餘類的誤投造成，另資源回收車中之誤投比例最高為非資源回收物（紙類），主要為髒報紙（如紙類沾黏排泄物），因此埔里鎮未來可加強執行廚餘回收及非資源回收物(紙類)正確丟棄之宣導工作，以降低埔里鎮垃圾處理量，促進埔里鎮資源回收成效更加進步。

This study focused on the Puli Township garbage recycling outcomes. Data on garbage collection in the Puli urban district in December 2014 were obtained. The results demonstrated that the average misplacement rates for garbage that was placed into garbage collection trucks on suburban weekdays, suburban holidays, urban weekdays, and urban holidays were 8.57%, 8.28%, 9.27%, and 15%, respectively. The highest values for recyclable garbage misplacement in garbage trucks involved kitchen waste, other plastics, and other materials. The average corresponding misplacement rates for suburban weekdays, suburban holidays, urban weekdays, and urban holidays were 3.30%, 7.84%, 6.59%, and 8.00%, respectively. The highest values for general garbage misplacement involved nonrecyclable paper waste (paper) and nonpaper waste (chopsticks) and in the recycled car of which, the most common materials found included recyclable glass, paper, and metal cans. Puli’s garbage misplacement ratio is not high because the overall waste separation and recovery is effective. In other urban and rural areas of Puli, weekday misplacement values are lower than those of weekends regardless of whether trucks visit junk automobile market areas and suburbs on weekday holidays. Generally, kitchen waste had the highest rate of garbage misplacement, while recycling the car misplacement had the highest proportion of nonrecyclable materials (paper), mainly used newspapers (such as repurposed newspaper for litter). Therefore, kitchen waste recyclables and nonrecyclable materials (paper) can be enhanced to aid in proper disposal, and advocacy may result in reduced waste and promote recycling effectiveness in Puli.
