本研究探討傳播敎育的核心課程（corecourses)，主要目的在 回答下列研究問題：（一）傳播學院是否需要設立核心課程？如果需 要，那些課程應列爲傳播學院的核心課程？（二）傳播學院中的新聞 、廣告及廣播電視學系是否需要設立核心課程？如果需要，那些課程 應列爲新聞、廣告及廣播電視學枣的核心課程？ 本研究首先採用文獻分析法，整理國内外大學的新聞、廣告與廣 電相關課程；然後進行焦點图體討論及問卷調查，分析國内學者對傳 播敎育核心課程的意見；最後作者參考大學敎育之目標、人文敎育的 基本精神、傳播學門概念性地囷及加強之主修等概念，對國内學者的 觀點提出批評，並提出大眾傳播敎育核心課程之規劃藍圖。

The purpose of this study is to design a core curriculum for communication education. This study employed document analysis, focus group interviews and survey methods in order to obtain different perspectives regarding core courses in communication education. Throughout this study we present the challenges and changes facing communication education and provide a model for designing communication core courses.
