傳播研究融合不同領域理論、方法的十字街口特性，近年來隨 著傳播理論範疇的擴張，更突顯出傳播研究在方法應用上的百家爭 鳴。不過，方法或多元方法的應用，須植基於對不同方法典範的認 識與瞭解。因此，本文嘗試從方法論角度，探討實證論、詮釋學、 與批判理論三大方法典範之淵源、及其對於方法應用的基本觀點， 並進而在方法哲學與方法實踐兩個層次，分別指出反獨斷主義的多 元方法觀點，與強調研究者導向之人本觀點，希望能作爲釐清傳播 研究方法應用迷思的基礎。

The infusion of theories from diverse fields has bought about the ferment of methods in communication research these years. Trying to clarify the methodological roots of the adoption of different methods, this article first reviews the philosophical foundations and basic idea of three main methodological paradigm - positivism, critical theory, and hermeneutics - in social sciences and humanities that have deeply influnced the communication research. By emphasizing the "methodological pluralism" and the "researcher-oriented approach" in the research process, this article also hopes to provide suggestions to methodology and research practice.
