本研究旨在探索新聞敘事之意義及内涵。敘事乃由眞實社會經驗 累積而成，新聞再現的内容正是社會中的眞實經驗。因此，新聞與敘 事的關係以及新聞與敘事的内在部份，正是本研究所探索的核心議 題。 將新聞視爲敘事，是從「故事」和「論述」兩個面向探尋新聞之 内在結構。本研究首先介紹敘事理論與要素，從敘事理論描述新聞敘 事結構。本文認爲，新聞敘事包括故事的内在存在條件、行爲動作之 描述、核心與衛星事件之報導；同時，新聞也包含了評論之書寫。 至於新聞敘事論述的範疇，如再現新聞的形式以及新聞品質等問 題，則可做爲後續研究之方向。

The study aims at exploring the narrative elements in news stories. Cultural studies have begun in recent years to explain the quality of news through which the cultural meanings of our immediate society are sought. Taking news as narrative, however, is a different research approach. This current study proposes to analyze news from two narrative aspects: story and discourse. Narratives come from our daily experiences as social reality appearing in news. The basic and common elements that sustain both factual and fictional writings are the core concerns in this study, which defines a theory of news narrative and at the same time identifies some necessary inner structures of daily news. The research concludes that some important structural elements in news narrative are setting, episode, summary, comment and quality. The research hopes to provide valuable insights in future communication research and news writing.
