本研究借用系統論的視角,採用文獻資料分析、問卷調查和深度訪 談的方法,探討大陸新聞教育在過去二十多年中的變革。研究發現,大 陸新聞教育的辦學規模不斷擴展,新聞教育向多專業和大束傳播學轉 化,研究重點也日趨多元化。但總的來說,大陸新聞教育在政治意識形 態的制約下,教育體制改革落後,學術理論保守,教學内容和課程設置 陳舊,教育崗位呈「逆向淘汰」,與市場經濟的不適應性曰益突出。大 陸新聞教育能否擺脫政治體制的過度束缚,將決定其在新世紀中是步向 發展抑或衰退。
Within the analytical framework of General Systems Theory and by use of the methods of documental analysis, questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews, this study aims to explore major changes, problems and challenges of journalism education in mainland China between 1976 and 2000. The findings of the study reveal that journalism education in mainland China still falls far short of the economic changes, of the media reality, and of the people's expectations. The backwardness manifests itself particularly in the educational philosophy. It is argued that further reforms of journalism education are urgently called for. For the reforms to be successful, journalism education in mainland China needs to shake off the still tight political yoke and overcome the problems left over by the old system and practice.
