運動防護員經常提供專業服務於各種運動賽會中，主要以緊急急救、預防貼紮、傷害評估、體能 訓練、協助復健與健康行政等工作，除了須具備豐富的學科知識與術科專長外，更須考取防護員資格 證明書，方可成為一位合格的運動防護員。目前，每年平均有16 位運動防護員取照，合格率約為 26.8%，顯示運動傷害防護觀念已逐漸進入軌道，為了讓大家更了解運動防護員的專業與任務。本文 以臺灣運動防護組織的緣起，介紹運動傷害防護的專業發展，以及運動防護員的專業養成，提供讀者 對運動防護員有更進一步的認識與了解。
