The production value of Taiwan's photonics industry reached NT$ 191.3 billion in 2015, decreased by 8% as compared with NT$ 2,078.4 billion in 2014 and still accounting for 10% of the production value of US$ 613.5 billion of the global photonics industry. In the future, Taiwan photonics industry is looking to new fields of internet of things, defense, green energy, health care and other fields in order to create another wave of growth.
