This study used the wave one and the wave two databases of Taiwan Educational Panel Survey in order to examine the predictors of parents’ educational expectations. Gender and ethnic differences were also analyzed. Analysis of variance, multiple linear regression, and logistic regression were conducted. It was found that defined in terms of schooling years, the educational expectations of the Han parents were greater than those of aboriginal parents; concerning college diploma, aboriginal parents expected their children graduating from university of technology more than the Han parents. Socioeconomic status, structural social capital, and the view on educational value predicted the Han parents’ educational expectations significantly, not for aboriginal parents’ ones. Gender stereotype was few significant. The greater the number of children was, the lower the Han parents’ educational expectations for their daughters were.
