本文從一份最近大學教授開給高中生的經典閱讀書單談起,探討經典閱讀對於青少年的意義。文章首先分析時下青少年不閱讀經典的原因,主要來自兩方面的問題:能力不足(青少年未具備「分析閱讀」方面的能力),以及意願不夠(青少年無法看見經典與其生活經驗呼應之處);其次,本文針對青少年所偏好的輕小說分析內容,發現此種文類之所以吸引青少年,乃是因為它所描寫的情節很容易讓青少年產生共鳴,本文也建議未來或許能夠從此文類中找到具有教育意涵的元素;最後,本文則試圖提出未來在推動閱讀活動時四種不同的重點。

英文摘要

Based on a recent classic reading list from a group of university professors for high school students, this paper explores the significance of classic reading. Firstly, this paper explains why young people today do not read the classics: their reading capability is not suffi cient (they are not equipped with the capability of analytical reading), as well as their willingness is not enough (they do not see the classics echo their life experiences); Secondly, this paper analyzes the light novels and fi nds the main reason of this genre in attracting young people is because its plots resonate teenagers life experiences. It is also possible for educators to understand adolescents better through reading this kind of genre. Finally, this paper tries to put forward four different future focuses in promoting reading activities.
