《華嚴經》是佛教重要的經典之一，包括盧舍那佛像、華嚴經變等的美 術作品，豐富了中國佛教美術的發展。其相關美術作品的研究，從二十世 紀的30 年代開始，一直是近人學者關注的重要議題之一。其中，殷光明先 生在其40 多篇的著作，有8 篇是與華嚴經造像有關的研究。從其系列的研 究成果中，或許可以提供我們觀察、瞭解以及省思佛教藝術研究的方法。

The Flower Adornment Sutra（Avatamsaka Sutra, Huayan Jing）is one of the most important Buddhist scriptures. The images of the Vairocana Buddha and the Flower Adornment transformation tableaus developed from this sutra enriched the development of Chinese Buddhist art. Artworks connected to the Flower Adornment Sutra have been an important focus of scholarly attention since the 1930s. Eight of the forty articles written by Yin Guangming concern visual depictions of the Flower Adornment Sutra. This series of studies can provide us with a methodology to observe, comprehend and reflect upon our inquiries into Buddhist art.
