屈萬里先生（字翼鵬，1907-1979）為臺灣當代經學研究最具影響力學人之一，平生治學，以經史、古文字、版本目錄之學為主，成果斐然，名重當世。研治今文《尚書》，依史料之性質分「後人述古之作」與「當時的原始資料」兩種，而以對前者著成年代之考定，最具功力與特色。本文以屈先生考定今文《尚書》諸篇之著成年代為重心，擬探討三大子題：一、先論屈先生以「考定著成年代」與「辨別偽書」分屬兩種思維，再述屈先生「考定著成年代」之成果；二、先論屈先生考定著成年代之觸發起點，再進一步歸納用以考定年代之六種方法；三、由「後人述古之作」之觀點，論屈先生承繼王國維、傅斯年之治學方法，而對疑古思潮之繼承與修正。

Qu Wan-Li (courtesy name Yi-Peng, 1907-1979) is one of the most influential scholars of contemporary Confucian classics studies. He mainly researches into Confucian classics, historical records, paleography, and textual bibliography, which marks an extraordinary achievement and thus makes him an iconic figure among coeval scholars. The materials of the New Text Book of Documents Qu studies can be divided into two, the “the original sources” and “later generations’ interpretations.” He is especially great in verifying the completion years of the latter part. This paper proceeds in three sections: (1) clarifying that “verification of the completion year” and “authentication” are two different strands of Qu’s thought and then elaborating on his achievement in the former; (2) identifying Qu’s point of departure for the verification of the completion years of ancient writings and then generalizing the six methods he employs for it; and (3) discussing how Qu succeeds to Wang Guo- Wei and Fu Si-Nian’s methodology and revises the trend of “doubting the ancient thoughts” from the perspective of “later generations’ interpretations.”
