「他們歌唱甚麼樣的歌曲?」不只是一個研究提問,為以探尋音樂的功能性與理想聲響;他們所歌唱的歌曲,一方面是他們宗教信仰裡ㄧ項重要認同標的,另一方面也是他們向神表達、與神溝通,從而產生刺激反應的重要管道。
他們因神、為神,且向神歌唱,如同對信任的朋友或父親的表達,因此,是否他們很會歌唱並不是一件最重要的事。他們大聲歌唱以好或不好的嗓音,歌唱或快或慢、音域或高或低的歌曲,都只因為他們單單渴望要向神歌唱,且透過這樣的方式與神溝通。歌唱之於他們,並不像是在音樂演唱會裡的表演,而有其很明確的功能性導向。這些並不單只是一動機心理學的、文化的面向,還直指《聖經》裡的教導。
為辨識了解其歌唱的深層意義,在此若只透過運用此方法–作為一個在田野裡參與觀察與民族誌紀錄描述的局外人,是不夠的。除了《聖經》的立論支持,在此還需要有許多訪談和經驗性的問卷調查,以呈現其音樂的認同與刺激反應。

英文摘要

“Whatdo these people sing?”is not only a research question trying to find out the function of their music and its ideal sound, but also the key reason in their belief why they express to God and communicate with God for these Congolese Christian migrations in Europe.
They sing for God like the reliance between the friends or the expression toward their father. It’s not important on whether they know how to sing. Throughout the communication with God, they sing loudly with good or bad voice because they are only anxious to sing for God. Singing is not only a performance like in the music concerts, but it has clear and definite capability of leading. It’s not only a turning in the direction of the motive psychology and culture, but it directly points to the education of the Bible.
To recognize and understand the deep significance of their singing, it’s not enough to penetrate with this method and become an observer in field investigation like the outsider described in ethnography. Besides the argumentation support of the Bible, it requires to have more interviews and investigative questionnaires.
