在少數的作品中因為特殊的機緣,莫札特展現出他靈魂深處的人 性與掙扎,而成為前所未見的偉大感人的作品,他的安魂曲(Requiem K. 626)就是這樣的曠世鉅作。本文試圖探討這首曲子所帶給我們的生 命(教育)啟示,尤其是以生死學中對瀕死者狀態的探討來瞭解莫札 特創作此曲的心路歷程。生命教育是「培養並保持健全的身心靈的教 育」;生死學則源自美國的「死亡學」(Thanatology; Studies of Death and Dying),其中包含對瀕死與死亡所涉及的諸多問題的探究。莫札特在 這首安魂曲中,誠實地展出瀕死者對死亡的恐懼、無助與悲傷,而且 更進一步表現出瀕死者追求「救贖」、「解脫」或是生死學中談到的「宇 宙機制」的迫切渴望。在傳統的安魂曲經文中,莫札特用音樂賦予它 無比的生命意義。

英文摘要

In some of his most special work, for some special occasions, Mozart demonstrates the deepest humanity and human struggle which is not often heard in the Classical Period. This kind of work became the greatest and most touching in his time and His Requiem K.626 fits into the category. In this article discussion is made to explore Mozart’smind when he composed his Requiem, especially in the aspect of ‘Life Education’and the‘Studies of life and Death’. This work is strongly related to the mind state of dying people. Mozart expressed honestly the fear, helplessness and sorrow of such dying people, and furthermore the eager hope of redemption or the relieved state of mind after the process of death started. The power of this piece is so strong that it is reasonable to assume it comes from Mozart’s own experience before his death without finishing the whole piece.
