嵇康(223-262)，為魏晉時代的竹林七賢之一，著有《琴賦》一文，提出「眾器之中，琴德最優」的說法。其一生鐘情於音樂，通曉各式樂器，唯獨對琴具有某種特殊的喜好，於《琴賦》中即指出喜好的原因，乃在於琴體現了「導氣養神，宣和情志」以及「感天地以致和」的精神。而此，與其一生苦悶、遭受政治壓迫是密切相關的。通過琴以排解憂愁，進而昇華生命意蘊，展現出人心與琴音合一的審美境地，故以「能盡雅琴，唯至人兮」作為《琴賦》的結尾。嵇康的最後生命，臨刑前猶自若泰然地彈奏〈廣陵散〉一曲，更證明了其音樂思想與個人生命的融會。因此，理解《琴賦》音樂思想的蘊義，當有助於我們對現實生命與生活世界內涵的反思與超越。

Ji-Kang(223-262) was one of the “Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove”. Among his works is a poem on Gu-Qin called Qinfu. In the article Ji-Kang claims for the Qin the foremost place among the musical instruments due to its ability to transform a person’s character. He himself survived in the utterly chaotic times he lived in by virtue of playing and composing for the Qin. The paper will analyses the Qinfu in the light of Ji-Kang’s thought on music on the one side and his views on man and society on the other side.
