去氧化熊果素(deoxyArbutin,dA)為熊果素的衍生物,是近來被看好的美白成分之一, 其對於酪氨酸酶的抑制效果更優於對苯二酚及熊果素,所以去氧化熊果素在化粧品市場中頗 具發展潛力。但由於去氧化熊果素穩定性不佳,在高溫之環境下容易降解成對苯二酚,造成 其實際應用於產品中會有很大的問題。因此,在本研究中我們利用環糊精(cyclodextrin,CD) 包覆去氧化熊果素來改善其穩定性, 再將被包覆的去氧化熊果素用於無水配方中 (Non-aqueous formulation)加強去氧化熊果素的穩定性,並與在含水環境時的環糊精/去氧化 熊果素複合物互相比較,以便了解環糊精對去氧化熊果素安定性之幫助。

英文摘要

The deoxyArbutin (dA) is a derivative of arbutin and which is a potential skin whitening agent due to its strong inhibitory activity for tyrosinase. Therefore, deoxyArbutin also has the possibility to be used as ingredient in cosmetic products. However, deoxyArbutin is unstable that may be decomposed into hydroquinone under the higher temperature conditions. Thus, to improve the stability of deoxyArbutin, we use cyclodextrin (CD) in both aqueous and non-aqueous formulations. In the study, through the analysis of the cyclodextrin/deoxyArbutin complex features, we can understand the effects of cyclodextrin on the stability of deoxyArbutin.
