Ketamine, an antagonist of the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor, has a rapid antidepressant e^ect, and its withdrawal may induce depression. I report a female patient with ketamine dependence who developed depressive symptoms during ketamine withdrawal. She received adequate treatment during admission and stopped ketamine addiction successfully.
