本文描述兩個Geosmithia之台灣新紀錄種:G. lavendula及G. pallida。Geosmithea lavendula之鑑定特徵為灰紫色之菌落形態與其產孢梗具有明顯的疣狀突起;G. pallida之鑑定特徵為其淺黃色之菌落,以及每個metula輪生多達6個瓶狀產孢構造。本篇研究中,一個G. lavendula菌株分離自未知鞘翅目甲蟲之食痕,而有四個G. pallida菌株分離自菌蠹蟲,其中兩個菌株來自Cnestus nitidipennis、另外兩個菌株來自Hadrodemius comans及H. globus。本篇研究為紀錄G. pallida與此三種菌蠹蟲有關聯之首次報導。

英文摘要

Two new records of Geosmithia species are reported in Taiwan. They are G. lavendula and G. pallida. Geosmithia laven-dula is characterized by having grayish violet colonies and conspicuous warts on stipes of conidiophores. Geosmithia pallida is characterized by having pale yellowish colonies and up to 6 phialides in a whorl on each metula. One isolate of G. lavendula was obtained, which was isolated from a gallery of an unknown beetle. Four isolates of G. pallida were obtained. Two isolates were isolated from Cnestus nitidipennis, and the other two isolates were isolated from Hadrodemius comans and H. globus respectively. This is the first report for G. pallida being associated with these ambrosia beetles. Both fungi are described and illustrated.
