社交軟體、通訊軟體與行動裝置的快速發展，讓人們得以在任何時間、地點，比以往容易地與他人得聯繫， 知道朋友的訊息，但也因此產生了「資訊遺漏恐懼感」（Fear of Missing Out ; FoMO)。「資訊遺漏恐懼感」為一 種不安的心理現象，擔心別人發生了有趣的事或經驗，而自己卻不知道，而不能參與討論，所以需要隨時知道 有什麼有趣的事發生，或知道別人正在做什麼有趣的事，以便參與別人的話題，或製造話題。本研究透過相關 理論與文獻的整理，界定「資訊遺漏恐懼感」的理論意涵與特性，並透過相關量表的發展，以實證的數據來探 討此一概念的内涵與結構。以Przybylski、Murayama、DeHaan與Gladwell (2013 )的動機理論觀點，編定「資 訊遺漏恐懼感量表」，用以探討民眾「資訊遺漏恐懼感」的相關構成要素，共十題。本研究以250名台灣北部民 眾為預試樣本，進行項目分析，並以社交軟體使用頻率與使用習慣為效標，以瞭解「資訊遺漏恐懼」的内在因 素結構與區辨效度。進一步的，另以641名台灣民眾為正式樣本，以驗證性因素分析進行「資訊遺漏恐懼」知 覺的構念效度驗證，分析結果指出量表具有良好的模式適配，信效度良好。

FoMO (Fear of Missing Out) is one of the most important issues in social media application. Fast development of mobile technology, a variety of social media development, as well as the growing popularity of mobile devices that people can be at any time and place to easily access to social media. This led a psychological phenomenon popularly referred to as “Fear of Missing Out” (FoMO). FoMO as an unease of feeling that others might behaving rewarding experiences from which one is absent, that others might behaving rewarding experiences from which one is absent, it is characterized by the desire to stay continually connected with what others are doing. The purpose of this study is to clarify the concept of FoMO and furthermore to develop a Chinese measurement tool for FoMO. This study created the concept of FoMO. A 10-item scale for measuring the FoMO was administered to social media APP users for item analysis in the pilot study. Subsequently, a sample was collected from 641 social media APP users for confirmatory factor analysis and reliability estimation. Results revealed that the developed inventory of the FoMO had satisfactory reliability and validity. A three-factor (Relatedness, Autonomy, and Competence) model with correlation among factors was identified as a good model for fitting the data. Finding of the analysis on background variables are reported. Finally, the significance and the implication of the inventory of FoMO are discussed.
