A rush of investment in Asian OLED panels seems to be set off since Apple announced that it will use OLED panels in future iPhone models. The Korean manufacturers have shown greater moves in the investment of OLED as the mainstream of the next generation display is taking shape. Currently, the suppliers with the ability to supply OLED panels are mainly Korean makers. The medium and small-size panels for smartphones are mostly from Samsung Display Co., Ltd. (SDC); while large-size panels for TV are supplied by LG Display (LGD).
