在許多IT 促進組織變革研究中,大多討論組織設備驅動對組織變革的影響,並 未探討個人設備驅動力。本文嘗試從個人設備驅動力的視野討論BYOD 現象對於組 織變革的影響過程。研究結果顯示,個人設備驅動將促成虛實整合型態的組織變革; 以及BYOD 現象將使企業逐漸發展出資源整合型的組織變革。最後,本研究認為, 藉由IT 促進組織變革過程中,若無法掌握「以人為本」的主軸,則容易陷入削足適 履的現象。

英文摘要

Previous studies of information technology (IT)-enabled organizational change have focused on the effects of an organization’s devices on organizational change and not on the effects of personal devices. In this study, we examined how the bring your own device (BYOD) phenomenon influences the process of organizational change . The results showed that the introduction of personal devices in the workplace facilitated change in an integrated physical and virtual organizational model and the adoption of BYOD-facilitated change in an integrated resources organizational model. In conclusion, we believe that if organizations do not adopt people-oriented guidelines in the process of IT-enabled organizational change, they can easily become caught in Procrustean circumstances.
