《春秋經》宣公十五年载「夏五月，宋人及楚人平。」《公羊傳》於此講述楚軍圍宋九月後，議定和平之約過程，尤其關注何以制訂和平之約，並將訂約主因歸於宋大夫華元與楚司馬子反。春秋三傳解經時侧重點各不相同，乃不同預設立場之表述。歷來研究者多自經學、哲學角度探討其義，本文則嘗試以「敘事學」觀點分析此段文本，自敘述事件、敘述時間、敘述話語與人物等方面解析，期待能對《公羊傳》「宋人與楚人平」做不同角度的思索。
