校長專業標準可界定校長從事專業工作的性質和品質,是提升校長卓越專業表現的利器,因此英、美、澳等先進國家紛紛研訂校長專業標準,提供校長們參考。本文主要目的在於說明校長專業標準的理念與實際作為,首先分析校長專業標準的意涵,其次從主要國家所研訂的校長專業標準,說明校長專業標準的內容,接著詮釋校長專業標準的核心理念,最後提出臺灣校長專業標準的實踐策略,包括委託學術機構研訂校長專業標準,以供校長遵循等五大項。
Professional standards for principals define the nature and the quality of work of principals who practice that profession, and it is vital to promote excellence in the professional of school leadership. USA, UK and Australia have developed professional standards for principals for many years. The purpose of this paper is to explore the ideas and practice of professional standards for principals. First, it analyzes the concept of professional standards for principals. Next, it explains the contents of professional standards for principals from USA, UK and Australia. Then, it discusses the core ideas of professional standards for principals. Finally, it presents to practice the professional standards for principals in Taiwan, including: Developing the professional standards for principals to provide principals to follow, etc.
