鋯化合物擁有穩定的物理及化學性質，而被廣泛使用在各種工業用途上。但它可能帶來的健康危害卻常被人們所忽視。一位55歲男性被診斷出來嚴重的肺纖維化，他所從事的金屬鑄造工作就曝露在鋯粉塵中。綜合其工作環境實地查訪、肺部影像學檢查及肺功能報告，並查證相關流行病學研究，排除其他可能引發肺部嚴重纖維化的因素後，我們認為這是一位鋯粉塵曝露所引起的塵肺症。

Zirconium compounds were used at many aspects today but sometimes their health effects were ignored. A 55-year-old male had massive pulmonary fibrosis and he was exposed to zirconium dust while employed in a metal foundry. According to his exposure status, pulmonary radiography, lung HRCT, lung function test reports, and excluding other causes related to massive pulmonary fibrosis, we conclude this is a case of zirconium pneumoconiosis.
