於國小高年級國語教材中,台灣「康軒版」與大陸「人教版」均選錄《西遊 記》文本。本論文透過兩版本教材教法之分析,尋找兩岸國小古典小說教學上的 差異,以及差異背後所隱含的意義。研究發現,於教材編輯上,台灣以改寫為主, 語言淺白平易,大陸則以節錄為主,保留原著風味;於教法設計上,台灣注重聽 說讀寫等能力的訓練,大陸則著重文學感受的分析,教學重點各有不同。透過此 一比較,將有助於編輯者或教師截長補短,調整國小古典小說之教材選用或施教 方式。

英文摘要

As Chinese textbooks published by Kang Hsuan Education in Taiwan and People’s Education in mainland China for grades 5-6 students both include the story of Journey to the West, this paper analyzes teaching methods and materials used by the two publishers’ textbooks to look for differences between China and Taiwan in teaching classic novels and the meaning behind such differences. This paper finds that, in terms of how teaching materials are edited, the textbook in Taiwan includes a rewritten version of the Journey to the West, and uses vernacular language whereas the textbook in China keeps the story’s original essence. In terms of the teaching methods, the textbook in Taiwan focuses on training students’ reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills, whereas the textbook in China focuses on analysis of the emotional quality of literature. Therefore, the two textbooks have different focuses in teaching. Such comparison would help textbook editors or teachers to make improvements on the selection of classic novels for primary school textbooks or teaching methods.
