英文摘要

Many Korean students anticipate that art class will be interesting and enjoyable and good teachers try to meet their expectations. However, inexperienced teachers are uncertain about developing and teaching art lessons. Understanding that an art lesson is constructed according to three categories; the content area or domain, visual arts, and themes. The domain as outlines in the 2009 Revised Korean National Art Curriculum is divided into three areas; experience, expression and appreciation. Visual arts include arts in traditional meaning and images in Visual Culture Art Education. And the category of themes is quite open although themes in Korean art textbooks and typical themes of a big idea are suggested. By selecting an item from each category, teachers have a foundation to start to develop an art lesson.
