本文以臺東某矯正機關爲例，探討個人特質與家庭支持對男性毒 癮受刑人在監適應之影響。硏究方法採用自行設計的問卷調查，以施 用第一、二級毒品的男性受刑人爲硏究對象。藉由一系列的實證分 析，獲致如下硏究結果：一、受刑人家屬所提供的家庭支持以情感性 支持最多，而受刑人在監適應則以技能學習適應最佳。二、男性毒癮 受刑人的不同個人特質，會影響其家庭所能提供的工具性支持、情感 性支持，以及受刑人在監適應的情形。三、受刑人家屬所提供的情感 性支持愈多，受刑人的各項在監適應情形都將愈好。本硏究也根據上 述結果提出六點具體建議，以作爲矯正機關未來實施處遇之參考。

This study investigated the effects of personal characteristics and family support on the prison adaptation of incarcerated men with drug addictions at a correctional facility in Taitung, Taiwan. A self-designed questionnaire was administered to inmates who were addicted to Class A or B drugs. The following results were obtained:⑴ Emotional support from families was the greatest form of support for inmates, and prison adaptation in terms of learning new skills is the best. (2) The different personal characteristics of the inmates may affect the instrumental family support, emotional family support, and their adaptability in prison. (3) When the family of the inmates provided higher levels of emotional support, the inmates demonstrated better adaptation to various aspects of prison life. Based on these results, this study offers six suggestions to correctional institutions for implementing future treatment plans.
