台灣原住民女性身處「族裔」與「性別」的多重邊緣身分,經常為社會忽視與遺忘。原住民女性從事藝術創作,不論人數和活躍程度都遠在男性藝術家之下,且因其創作向來與生活結合而幾乎總是被貶抑為「工藝」,甚至在台灣藝術史中鮮少留下紀錄。有鑑於此,本研究以原住民女性藝術創作者為主題切入,探討其藝術作品如何再現女性的生命經驗/故事與族群認同。本文發現她們透過藝術作品圖像描繪自己的生命故事和歷程,並視創作為自我療癒與敘寫的過程。她們擅長於創作中以圖騰、符號與意象傳達自己對族群/部落的認同。在原住民的身分下,她們歷經離開部落生活,不斷遷移、游離的過程,因而寄情於創作以尋根、找尋身分。此外,在族群認同方面,她們以部落為創作場域,開闢工作室、工作坊,藉由集體藝術行動凝聚部落意識,傳承原住民文化。
Ta wanese abor g nal women l v ng n the r mult ple- dent ty of the “ethn c” and “gender” have been long overlooked and generally forgotten by our soc ety. Abor g nal women engaged n art st c creat on, regardless of the r numbers and the level of the r act v ty, have been represented far less than the male art st. The r art st c creat on has always been understood as a part of everyday l fe, be ng class f ed as “craft” n a derogatory way. There are only a few ment ons of abor g nal women n Ta wan’s art h story. Therefore, th s research looks forward to prob ng nto Ta wanese abor g nal women’s art as ts theme, explor ng how the r art st c express on man fests the r l fe exper ences, l fe stor es, and tr bal dent ty. The h stor cal context and relevant ex st ng l terature of Ta wanese abor g nal women’s art w ll be rev ewed. It w ll be shown that through the r art they express the r l fe stor es, and that th s express on also serves as narrat ve therapy. They also transm t the consc ousness of the r tr bal dent ty through the use of totems and symbols. Regard ng research methods, the research w ll employ textual analys s, and n-depth nterv ews w th Ta wanese abor g nal women art sts. It w ll try to analyze abor g nal women’s art and the r l fe exper ences, show ng abor g nal women’s art creat on as part of the r gender awareness, memory, and cultural dent ty even as they are separated from the r trad t onal tr bal l fe and forced to m grate. F nally, th s project w ll be an nterd sc pl nary, cross-cutt ng one, comb n ng ssues of nd genous peoples and women/gender, and art and cultural dent ty-or ented research. The most mportant goal s to outl ne a complete p cture of Ta wanese abor g nal women’s art.
