本研究旨在探究新北市國小英語教師適性教學的觀點與實踐,並比較不同背景者觀點與實踐的差異,以新北市公立國小英語教師為研究對象,自編「新北市國小英語教師適性教學現況問卷」,有效樣本495人。主要發現有五:一、新北市國小英語教師高度贊同適性教學。二、新北市國小英語教師普遍實施適性教學;然實踐得分相對低於觀點得分。三、參加過較多研習、閱讀過相關著作者更贊同適性教學且實踐性更高。四、新北市國小英語教師認為,適性教學主要困難在學生個別差異大。五、新北市國小英語教師普遍認為需資源挹注。本文最後提出建議。

英文摘要

The study is aimed to investigate New Taipei City elementary school English teachers’ perceptions and practices of adaptive instruction. It also compares the teaching perceptions and practices among these teachers with different backgrounds. The study surveys these English teachers with a questionnaire and has an effective sample size of 495. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows: 1) Most elementary school English teachers display a positive attitude toward adaptive instruction. 2) Most elementary school English teachers have attempted to implement certain adaptive instruction principles. 3) Teachers who attend more teaching workshops and read more adaptive instruction-related literature are more willing to adopt adaptive instruction strategies. 4) Most teachers believe students’ individual differences as the most challenging aspect. 5) Most teachers believe they need supports in implementing adaptive instruction. Finally, the study provides some suggestions.
