紗布、棉花、縫合針等無菌醫療製品之使用在醫療院所中甚爲普遍，但若 因其製造過程滅菌不完全或運送、保存不妥當，以致遭受微生物污染則影響醫 療之品質甚鉅，因此本計畫於民國八十四年十月至八十五年二月止，於台灣省 北、中、南、東四區共抽購一一四件上述之檢品以便進行該類製品之滅菌檢 查，抽購之範圍涵蓋有4所醫學中心、12所區域級醫院以及10所私人醫療院 所。檢品經以直接接種法進行其滅菌檢查，其結果爲陽性者共計四件，佔總件 數之3.5%，而呈陽性之檢體經菌種分離並以微生物自動鑑定儀（VITEK systems)作進一步之確認發現呈陽性反應之棉球類檢品可檢出、Bacillus cereus、Bacillus megaterium與Bacillus subtilis之汙染，而呈陽性反應之紗布類檢體則被 檢出分别含有cereus 、Bacillus subtilis 、Bacillus licheniformis 、Bacil -lus sphaericus 、 Pantoea agglomerans 、 Staphylococcus sciuri 、 Staphlococcus 等菌株之污染。
英文摘要
In order to determine the quality of commercial disposable cotton, cotton sticks and surgical sutures used in Taiwan, 114 commercial samples were purchased from local hospitals or clinics during 1995 to 1996 and subjectd to a sterility test. Four samples (3.5%) were found to be contaminated with microorganisms, which included Bacillus cere us, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus mega -terium, Bacillus licheniformis，Bacillus sphaericus, Pantoea agglomeransf Staphy -lococcus sciuri, and Staphylococcus auricuiaris .
