本調查旨在瞭解台灣地區生產之糙米中重金屬(鎘、汞)含量之現況。外民國79年1月至80年6月間自糧食局十五個糧管處抽取各地公糧稻米七十八年一期糙米150件,二期糙米75件及零售市場糙米24件。經調查結果鎘平均含量為0.043ppm(未檢出~0.220ppm),汞平均含量為0.004ppm(未檢出~0.022Ppm),均未超出衛生署所公告『食米重金屬限量標準』(鎘0.5PPm以下,汞0.05Ppm以下)之規定。顯示台灣地區稻米所含重金屬鎘、汞含量極低,當可袪除民眾對於食米衛生及安全之疑慮。

英文摘要

The purpose of this investigation was to understand the contents of heavy metals (Cadmium, Mercury) of brown rice in Taiwan. From 1980, January to 1981, June we had collected 150 samples of 1989 first crop brown rice and 75 samples of 1989 second crop brown rice from governmental warehouses of Food Bureau, and the other 24 samples were from local market. The results of examination showed that the average content of cadmium is 0.043ppm (N.D.~0.220ppm), mercury is 0004ppm (N.D.~0.022ppm), both of which did not exceed the content limit of heavy metals announced by our Department of Health (Mercury is below 0.05ppm, Cadmium is below 0.5ppm). The investigation showed that the contents of heavy metal of rice (cadmium, mercury) are quite low in Taiwan, so that people need not to worry about the sanitation and safety of eating rice.
