The literary text occupies a problematic place in the field of French language teaching. Faced the efficiency and utilitarianism promoted by contemporary society, the literary text is often considered unnecessary, difficult to be applied in the French language class in Taiwan. The difficult vocabulary of these texts sometimes discourages the learners. For them, literary texts are very far from their everyday lives and the vocabulary seems useless and therefore difficult to memorize. Our pedagogical proposal is to use contemporary literary texts in reading class,in《Analysis of Text »,a compulsory course for second-year students of the French Department in Fu-Jen Catholic University, theses texts are usually associated with modem life and related to the contemporary mentality. In this research, in reference to Michel Picard5s discussion in La Lecture comme jeu and action-oriented approach, we study the use of contemporary literary text in the French language teaching. The reading theory as a game helps the reader-learner to reinforce their subjective consciousness. After reading the text, this « authentic document »5 can become the matrix for written and oral productions. Finally, the «task » of reading could be carried out under the action-oriented approach. The students, mobilized by the task of reading, discard their passive state and begin to move in the texts.
