優勢觀點(Strength Perspective)是晚近受到重視的社會工作理論,它相信人本身具有改 變的能力,僅需發掘潛在的內、外在資源,就能促使人在困境中改變。本研究乃以軍校一年 級新生對象,探究「優勢觀點團體」在其增強權能上之成效。研究方法採量、質化並行的方 式,研究結果發現:經過六次優勢觀點團體後,成員在「增強權能」總量表之得分略有增 加,但僅在「個人層面」分量表有顯著差異;另歸結質化訪談結果可知,優勢觀點團體有助 於成員自我效能感之提升,但亦僅限於「個人層面」,成員權能感僅落實在個人層面,對於 「社會政治層面」之態度則顯示出無心也無力的消極。最後,本研究亦據此提出建議如下: 1.將「優勢觀點工作方法」納入新生成長團體中實施;2.加強團體領導者的專業訓練;3.宜增 加追蹤測,驗證團體持續效果。

英文摘要

“Strength Perspective” was an emerging social work theory which claimed that people had their own power in themselves to change the environment. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of strengths–based group on military cadets` empowerment. This study employed both qualitative and quantitative methods. The result indicated that strengths–based group conduced to participants` empowerment. There was only one significant difference in “personal dimension.” Finally, suggestions were presented as follows:(1) to apply strength perspectives to military cadets` growth groups;(2) to improve group leaders` professional training;and (3) to do the follow-up test and trace the lasting effect.
